My wife and I purchased the folding trekking poles to take to Africa. We did 3 safari camps before going to Uganda to hike in the Impenetrable Forrest to visit the gorillas. The poles worked perfectly on the mountain climb. We chose the folding poles because they would fit in our carry on and back packs! We didn’t check any larger bags due to our many bush flights in Africa. After 12 flights, on our way home in the Denver airport we were told that the sticks could not be in our carry on for the last flight home!! Some TSA agent has some very nice hiking poles for the mountains in Colorado! Be aware of carry on packing!

extremely happy w/ purchase. PROS: adjustable height with length increment markers to assure they are even, sturdy, two grips built in. 1 cork padded atop the pole. Next grip is just beneath and a softer material perfect for steep hill climbing w/ no need to readjust pole length. Win for me: my hands don't swollen after an hr into the hikes now. That's wonderful. Couple that w/ the new agility the poles offer me... I'm hopping over and across streams easily and traversing up hills is a breeze w/ poles to pull my weary legs up quickly. Highly recommend! Always get hikers asking about my brand when we bump into each and I'm proud to say TREKOLOGY!

Love my new poles! Just took my new trekking poles on their first vacation. To the island of Sao Miguel, the Azores, we went, and I must say they did not dissapoint. They easily fit in my carry-on. They were easily to put together and to collapse. They are definitely allowed to come along on our next journey :-)
